We’ve made it through Christmas! That’s certainly the cheer ringing out through our house on New Year’s Eve. Christmas seems to have become a time of excess over recent years, or maybe I’ve just become older and grumpier with time. Now all the mince pies and sausage rolls have gone I just can’t wait for the new year to get started.

January is my favourite time of year and I love to plan all the exciting things I want to achieve in 2020. It’s officially the start of the next decade, so I could even plan ahead for the next 10 years… but the next 6 months is a good start for me.

It’s a good idea to take one step at a time. My first step is going to be banishing chocolates and biscuits from all my future shopping lists. My philosophy is ‘if they are not in the house… they can’t accidentally end up in my mouth’. A very small but none the less very important step.
I’ll also choose to practice Tia Chi and meditate more as they are both good for the soul.
What one simple step are you going to make to start off 2020?
