Cosmetic and facial acupuncture in Swindon

Facial acupuncture or the ‘acupuncture face-lift’ is gaining popularity and media attention as a non-surgical treatment to reduce the signs of aging. It is nothing new as this form of anti-aging skin care was a great favourite of Chinese Emperors to keep them looking young!

This treatment is used to reduce the appearance of fine lines as well as making deeper lines look softer. It is ideal for skins where the lines are pronounced even when the muscles of the face are relaxed. It can also help minimize dark circles, puffy eyes, creased skin, and a dull complexion.

The best in anti aging skin care

An initial consultation followed by a cleanse, tone and detailed skin analysis id carried out to determine your skin type and discover your main areas of concern. Acupuncture, acupressure, facial massage and various other techniques are combined to stimulate the acupuncture meridians and improve the flow of Qi energy in the face. The aim is to nourish, hydrate and tone the skin, diminishing the appearance of fine lines and improve skin tone.

Professional salon anti-aging products are used to ensure the very best results and an after-treatment home care pack is provided for home use. You will get great advice on how to best care for your skin and keep it looking its best.

Cosmetic acupuncture FAQ’s

Can any acupuncturist do this?

No. Cosmetic acupuncture is a specialism that is not taught as part of a degree course. I have attended a variety of specialist postgraduate training seminars and have been practicing cosmetic acupuncture for many years.

How many treatments will I need?

Everyone is different but usually one session a week is needed for the first 6 to 10 weeks. Visible results should be noticeable after 6 -7 sessions or sooner. A maintenance treatment may be needed every 4 to 6 weeks.

I’m not sure the about needles!

There are lots of different techniques used and only some involve needles. In most cases treatments can always be adapted to use needle free electro acupuncture techniques to stimulate energy points on the face rather than needles
