About Acupuncture

Acupuncture evolved in China several thousand years ago and was the main treatment for many illnesses and health related conditions. Even today acupuncture is widely used in Chinese hospitals, alongside modern medicine as a main form of treatment.

Modern acupuncture can be used to help a wide range of conditions, from disturbed sleep patterns and feelings of low energy levels, to more severe cases of pain and illness where acupuncture can be used alongside conventional medical treatment.

Appointments start on a weekly basis then become less frequent as your symptoms improve. Patients will often report a good response within 4 or 5 treatments.

People are often surprised that acupuncture is relatively painless and describe the whole experience as quite relaxing and enjoyable. Many continue to have treatment on a regular basis just to keep their energy levels up and themselves feeling good.
